Super Bowl baby!!

I’m curled up with my nice warm blanket on the couch, laptop on my lap (I’m just lovin’ the warm motor on this device)–hot cocoa in hand–as I attempt to defrost from this evenings festivities.  My fingers are still literally stinging with coldness.  But it was all worth it.

Cause the PACKERS WON THE SUPER BOWL BABY!!

OHHHH—Sweet Victory!!!

It all started……

…………..with some superbowl party action…..

the game kept us on the edge of our seats…..I was a mess most of the way through–especially the 4th quarter.

Green Bay exploded all around us–fireworks, cars honking–and people going crazy on the streets.  There is such a great feeling in the air in GB—it’s like we all became one big family overnight—joined together by one very special team—slapping five, dancing and drinking together….oh, and eating lots of cheese of course.

I packed up Anna the next day and high-tailed it over the Lambeau Field to welcome our football heroes home–I’m soooo glad I made the trip–it didn’t disappoint.

as soon as the buses pulled up–the crowd went hysterical–it was one giant welcome– Green Bay style.

Anna was snuggled in close to me in a wrap–all you could see was her pink hat poking through.

She was a pretty happy girl the whole time–taking in all the sounds of craziness all around her.

Such fun,  such a buzz—such a historical wonder to take part in.

My hubster decided to be brave and buy us tickets for the Packers homecoming ceremony the very next day–the temp was in the teens—oh brrrrrrrrrrrrr–yeah it was cold.  That’s the finger biting cold I started this post out with.  So, once again–feelin’ the need to raise our 6 month old baby girl right–we bundled her up and headed to the frozen tundra.

Talk about an electric atmosphere–I thought the place was gonna explode!!  Mass chaos is awesome.  I could barely hear any of the speakers–which actually got kinda annoying after awhile.  Anna was tucked in close to daddy–wide eyed the whole time…..did we traumatize her for life?  I can honestly say it felt really good to be a Green Bay-an for the first time.  I have never truly felt connected to this city nor this area before–and I have asked myself many a-time how I ended up here in the first place.  But this felt good—it felt real good.  I could get used to this.

The snow level at the frozen tundra-

Lovin’ how the Packers party—my favorite line (I actually heard this one):

“And guess what???  We’re Superbowl Champions Baby!!” – Donald Driver

And lastly, here are some Packer Baby pics to warm your heart and eyeballs with:
